Five Basic Causes of Cancer

Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells. There are many different factors that can          contribute to the development of cancer, including:

      1. Genetic mutations: Certain inherited genetic mutations can increase the risk of developing cancer.

2. Environmental exposures: Exposure to certain substances in the environment, such as tobacco smoke, radiation, and certain chemicals, can                    increase the risk of cancer.

3. Infections: Some infections, such as human papillomavirus (HPV), can increase the risk of cancer.

4. Chronic inflammation: Chronic inflammation has been linked to the development of certain types of cancer.

5. Lifestyle factors: Certain lifestyle factors, such as diet, physical inactivity, and alcohol consumption, have been linked to an increased risk of                    cancer.

It’s important to note that not all cancers are caused by these factors. In many cases, the exact cause of cancer is unknown.
